Its me again.

And after a break from Guild Wars I have returned. I just got my first year present, and excited to fight I quickly went off to do so.

But, after a year of the same build, I'm bored of my Ranger. I do not want to switch character classes, I just need a new build for pve and pvp.

Heres my pve one:

(The space is for en elite, I usually use burning, broad head, or magebane)

I have been messing around with other ideas, but they don't turn out as good.

you forgot the "ion signet" when you wrote your pvp bar.

cripshot is a good elite... theres lots of R/Ds running around with escape for some reason.

i dont really see many different ranger builds when pvping. and by pvping i dont really know what you mean... in HA there are a ton of different ranger builds you could play.

I mainly use cripshot for Ab.

I'm looking for something different though, I did experiment with [Melandru's Arrow's], and it wasnt too bad.

I use a BHA for PvE. Works awesome against bosses in NF and Factions and as a general interrupter.

I've heard Glass Arrows + Triple Shot (Kurzick/Luxon) + Forked Arrow + Double Shot might be good too. Maybe also Splinter/Conjure/Judge's Insight. Don't know as I just got to Seafarer's Rest, but hell I need that.

In all of GW, resurrect is the worst res for trying to stay alive (but good for MF rofl). Try res sig, it owns more face.

The new skill tags show how much expertise you use when making a bar up.Those are pretty good not sure how splinter weapon is now.

Try to get a rit hero with brutal weapon. Make sure your healers dont put enchantments on you.

The attribute spread is far too... well.... spread. If you really must run Barrage (imo, splinter/[[Volley] is much better because you can take a decent elite) stick to just Exp, marks and Channeling. Channeling is ideally at 10 for [[splinter [email protected]]'s 4 proc breakpoint. Also, you need interrupts - they're the single best thing the ranger does and not taking Savage/DShot is nothing short of insanity/stupidity.

Is fine - apart from Resurrect. It's a horrible, horrible skill and should never be used, least of all on a ranger in PvP. Stick to res sig and let other classes deal with decent hard reses like DPSig and FomF.

and @ above poster - enchants are just too damn good in PvE to use Brutal Weapon. Stick to [[Conjure lightning] or something instead and you can keep ProtSpirit to stop you blowing up.

Thanks everyone. These templates are the ones I dug up, they are at least a year old. I also use runes too. I do have my stats to par at the moment, but those bars arent a true reflection of my current skills as I am always tweaking my builds.

Ill try out the splinter barrager, Alex. I'm not too deep into EotN, so I might use the skills I have that I see fit.

Also, can someone give me a Broad Head Arrow pve build?

I've found this to be fun, it's a nice way to spread around dazed and other conditions.

... Everything else is optional. Best shot is if you bring a /Rt hero (necroz r gud) for Splinter Weapon so you can epidemic mobs full of daze; interrupt the lot of them with Volley and still blow them up with Splinter.
